Road Trippin by Numbers

We have been back from our epic road trip for a few days now. We are almost all unpacked and back to normal. It is still hard to believe everything that we did and saw. As we talk to people they will ask, “What was your favorite part?”. I guess the best answer is “The whole thing!”. We have a favorite park, favorite city, favorite meal, favorite restaurant, favorite ER room, etc… but to pick one single part is impossible.

The entire experience is something we will remember and reflect on for the rest of our lives. There are parks, places, and cities that we found out how much we enjoy and would love to go back to in the future. There is still so much of this country left to see and we are defiantly addicted to exploring it now.

We learned a lot on this trip. We learned a lot of cool things, facts, and historical information. But we also learned that we love camping together and the national parks. Before this trip we had never camped together. We had both gone camping before in our lives but never together. As it turns out we are pretty good at it, despite our first night in Texas! We each had our duties and things we did well.

Numerous hours were spent in the car together and we didn’t kill each other, nor did we come close! We are use to spending time in the car together (long trips back to PA and we ride to work together everyday anyway) so that was never really a concern.

But to summarize this trip just a little here are some totals and numbers about our experience. I am sure we will write a more reflective response to this trip after it all sinks in, but here are some fun things for now:

  1. It was an amazing experience even from this end. I know that myself, Dad and most all of my friends (who are now your friends) had a wonderful trip as well. Not sure how you guys will top this, but I have no doubt that you will. You two are amazing….. Even without all your fingers and tires!
